All competitors must be present at check-in and throughout the competition. Once a match is called competitor’s will have ten minutes to report to their stations for play. If after ten minutes one or both of the competitors are not present the non present competitor(s) will be disqualified.
All players will be seeded into a standard double elimination bracket before the tournament starts.

The entry fee for both Teams and Singles is $0.
Both events will be STANDARD format with the current ban/errata list at the time.
Both events are open to all players. You do not need to qualify in order to play in either event.

Game Settings – 2 stocks and 6 minute match timer.
Additional Rules – Stage Striking: Players engage in a battle of Rock Paper Scissor best of 1. Winner strikes the first stage. Loser then strikes the next two stages. Winner strikes the last one effectively choosing the first stage they play on. (1-2-1)

The Nintendo Wii U Gamepad is not an acceptable controller and will not be allowed.
All course from the Mushroom Cup, Flower Cup, Star Cup and Special Cup will be available for play. The first round of matches will be played on the Mushroom Cup Courses. Round two will be played on the Flower Cup Courses. Round three matches will be played on the Star Cup Courses. Round Four will be played on the Special Cup Courses. All remaining rounds will have courses selected at random.
Players will join the LVL Up Expo clan for each match (clan tag information to be given on site). The players can at anytime create a friendly match within with the clan to start a match. Players can play as many matches during the qualification period as they please. At the end of each match the winning player must capture a screenshot of the match results to submit as proof of their victory. At the end of qualification period the top 8 players with the most wins will advance to tournament play.
Players will join the private tournament clan for the entirety of the tournament. Players will be advised which clan to join at the start of the tournament.
From the time a player posts in the clan chat that they are ready to play their match, their opponent has ten minutes to accept the match. It is advised that players communicate they are ready to play within the clan chat. Screenshots from clan chat can be used to report if their opponent is a no show. All tournament matches will be best 2 out of 3 with players having the ability to change any number of cards in their deck between round.
The tournament will take place Friday May 12th until Sunday May 14th .The tournament is free to join! Everyone at LVL Up Expo can participate.
