Speak Up & Report Concerns

The safety and enjoyment of our attendees, exhibitors, guests, and staff are important to us. If you experience, witness, or become aware of behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, including harassment, threats, discrimination, unsafe conduct, or any other concerning behavior, please report it immediately.

Event staff are available at the Info Booth and Registration during all event hours, and incident reports may be submitted at either location. Security personnel are stationed throughout the event and at the dedicated security station located at the Blue Entrance near the nurse station. Concerns may also be reported to any individual wearing official LVL UP EXPO credentials.

Reports will be reviewed and addressed as promptly as possible. While confidentiality will be respected whenever practical, LVL UP EXPO may share information as necessary to investigate incidents, maintain safety, or comply with applicable laws.

All attendees, exhibitors, guests, volunteers, contractors, and staff are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect, courtesy, and consideration.

Violations & Consequences

LVL UP EXPO maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, threats, and disruptive conduct.

LVL UP EXPO reserves the right to deny admission, revoke a badge, remove an individual from the event, restrict participation in event activities, or take any other action deemed appropriate to maintain a safe environment. Individuals removed from the event for violations of this Code of Conduct will not be entitled to a refund.

Serious incidents may be referred to venue security, local law enforcement, emergency services, or other appropriate authorities.

Costume Guidelines
To help maintain a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment, all costumes and attire must comply with the following guidelines:

Appropriate Attire:
Costumes must provide adequate coverage and be suitable for a general audience. Excessive nudity or exposure of private areas is prohibited. Thongs, sheer mesh, body tape, nipple coverings alone, or similar items do not constitute adequate coverage. Private areas must remain fully covered with opaque material at all times.

Offensive or Inappropriate Content:
Costumes, clothing, accessories, and props may not display or promote content that is obscene, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate for a public event.

Mobility & Safety:
Costumes must allow the wearer to move safely throughout the event and maintain adequate visibility at all times. Oversized costumes, large wings, cumbersome armor, or other costume elements that create safety hazards or obstruct walkways may be restricted or require modification.

Footwear:

Shoes must be worn at all times. Bare feet are not permitted.

The following are prohibited unless medically necessary or otherwise approved by LVL UP EXPO:

  • Stilts
  • Roller skates or roller blades
  • Skateboards
  • Scooters
  • Bicycles
  • Shoes with built-in wheels

Law Enforcement & Military Impersonation:
Costumes may not be reasonably mistaken for actual law enforcement, military, emergency response, or security personnel. Uniforms, badges, insignia, or markings identifying the wearer as “POLICE,” “SWAT,” “FBI,” “DEA,” “CIA,” “ICE” or similar agencies are prohibited.

Enforcement:
LVL UP EXPO staff and security reserve the right to determine whether a costume complies with these guidelines. Attendees may be required to modify, cover, remove, or store costume elements that violate these rules. Failure to comply with staff instructions may result in removal from the event without refund.

Prop & Weapon Inspections

Attendee safety is a top priority at LVL UP EXPO. All costume props and weapons must be inspected and approved at an official Peace Bonding Station before entering the event.

Peace Bonding Stations are located outside both the West Entrance (Blue) and East Entrance (Red) of the convention center.

  • Props and weapons may not enter the Exhibit Hall, panel rooms, or event spaces without an official peace bond.
  • Any prop not displaying a valid peace bond may be subject to inspection at any time.
  • Staff or security may require attendees to return to a Peace Bonding Station for verification or reinspection.

If a prop is purchased inside the Exhibit Hall, it must remain boxed or secured until it leaves the convention center. Attendees wishing to use a newly purchased prop as part of a costume must first bring it directly to a Peace Bonding Station for inspection and approval.
